Are you looking for something to do this fall? While Abbotsford offers plenty of opportunities for good hikes and rounds of golf, if you're in search of more options, we've compiled a top 10 list for the upcoming months.
From farm fresh eggs to local produce, Abbotsford Farm & Country Market is open every Saturday from 9am-12noon until Oct 28th at Jubilee Park, 2552 McCallum Road.
It's the fastest growing sport and for good reason! It's easy to learn, low-cost and fun for all ages. The Abbotsford Pickleball Association is holding its 1st annual social at the Ag Rec Building (32470 Haida Drive) 9am to 5 pm both days. It's free to attend, $10 to play the scramble and no membership is required.
There is SO much to do at Maan Farms (790 McKenzie Road) but the fall is absolutely killer! From pumpkin patches & corn mazes to goat yoga & barnyard animals on the daily, the scares start on Sept 29th with their infamous haunted houses and corn mazes. Click here for rates & tix for all farm activities. FYI they are known to sell out!
Graphic novel workshop Sun 1-3 at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) An introduction to the basics of comic/graphic novel making, the workshop will include both lessons and drawing exercises, materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their sketchbooks and drawings to share. Grandmums supporting Grandmums at Restaurant 62 (1-4pm, 110-33559 Marshall Road). The 'Abbotsford Gogos' are raising funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation which supports grandmothers raising orphaned children in sub-Saharan Africa. Near and dear to me (Selena) as my mum has been involved with this great group of women for years. Wine, appys and a silent auction, tix are $50 and are available the old fashioned way: call Deb at 604-855-0472.
Well we can't talk about things going on anywhere in Canada without talking about hockey. Abbotsford boasts our very own AHL team, and the first home game is Oct 20th, tickets available here.
We have a secret garden, yes we do! The International Friendship Garden is nestled beside the Clearbrook library at 32320 George Ferguson Way, and it's a must-see. This enchanting garden features a golden tree and a tranquil waterfall—perfect for those seeking a zen moment.
Taking place at Ledgeview Golf Club (6-11pm, 35997 McKee Road) the 2nd Annual Hawaiian Shirt Gala offers a dinner, raffles and a silent auction and benefits support for mental health and wellness via the BeMorr Society, tickets available here.
Ted Talk “Sandbox” at UFV (6-10:30pm, 33844 King Road) showcasing multiple speakers on innovation and boundary pushing in tech, business, medicine and more. Tickets available here.
The Winter Break Up Country Music Festival at Tradex (1190 Cornell St) in Abbostford featuring Langley's own Dallas Smith, The Reklaws and more. Let's hope the name isn't literal and all you couples survive the show! Tickets available here.
We'll be back with a holiday list, so if you know of a must do in Abbotsford for December/January, let us know in the comments. If we've missed an event you love, we're dying to hear about it!
